While his movie is about to reach cult status the just married maker of the Blind Pig That Wants To Fly, Edwin without a surname, joined programmer Gertjan Zuilhof in Nairobi, Kenya. He had helped Tan Chui Mui in Durban, South Africa, so she paid him back with some funny dialogue that will come in the movie in Swahili. Just for fun I agreed to write dialogues for Edwin’s film in Kenya.
“I like your dialogues” He said.
“I can write dialogues for your short film!” I said.
I love writing conversation, In fact, my friend Ming Jin think I’m only good with making film, with a couple having long conversation. (A Tree in Tanjung Malim and Everyday Everyday. )

Mixed picture. Melting point of indian, chinese and other asian cultures. I also see lots of rice paddies and reed hats. I also envision floods, failed sytems, terrorist attacks and children and women wading through waters to safer places.

Maybe tiger- not sure, dont really know if indonesia has wild animals. As for domestic animals I guess goats and chickens.

That is the official number, but there could be more, smaller tribesl ike the Ogiek family I believe are not recognised.
- Is it true that, there is a tribe, when a boy reach manhood, he must kill a lion before he could get married?
It used to happen amongst the Nilotic communities, no one does that anymore. They do kill lions but only when the lions have attacked their cows, it is normally done by a certain age group. If you happen to kill a lion then you become a village hero, it is not a rite of passage to go round killing animals to prove your manhood. On the other hand, in most Kenyans, you need to be circumcised to become a man and it is a very public affair.

Yes, at the foothills.
- Had Hemingway really been to Kilimanjaro
He claims to have been, but I highly doubt. He is a story teller so it is hard to separate fact from fiction. I believe he saw it from a far and you can see Kilimanjaro from Kenya or from Arusha in Tanzania.
